I just wanted to say I'm sorry
For that night when I lost you

You were the light that shined through my darkness
You cared when no body knew

you cornered a thief and I just had to play hero
The bad guy took my gun away from me
And he shot you through the chest
That villain took more than my gun
He took your life and my only love

I carried you through the woods, away from that evil man
On to a cliff, there I held you tight
You placed your hand firmly on my face
As you took your last breaths you said, I love you
Your hand quickly fell and your eyes gently closed

We had a few good times, a few good laughs
